What BimmerBits is for
Every BMW owner has had the same conversation. You post your build, and you get “clean!” from someone who cannot tell an E46 from an E90. It tells you nothing.
BimmerBits exists to give you a real answer. Submit your car and enthusiasts score it from 1 to 10 on six separate things — stance, lines, kidney, spec, mods and detail. Each rater's six scores average into a single verdict, and those verdicts together make your car's Roundel Rating out of 10.
Six scores instead of one means the verdict is useful. A build can take a 9 for stance and a 5 for detail, and now you know exactly what to go and fix.
The six dimensions
- Stance
- Ride height, wheel fitment, and whether it sits right.
- Lines
- Body design, proportions, and how the whole shape flows.
- Kidney
- Front-end presence, and whether the grille execution works.
- Spec
- Trim, factory options, and rare Individual colors.
- Mods
- Aftermarket choices — quality and taste, not money spent.
- Detail
- Paint, cleanliness, and how well it's presented.
How rating works
- Each rater scores all six dimensions from 1 to 10.
- Those six scores are averaged into that rater's submission.
- A car's Roundel Rating is the running average of every submission, to two decimal places.
- You cannot rate your own car.
- One rating per person per car, and you can see your own scores.
